Death negotiating?

A man was dying. He loses his breath, his body is turning cold. He could see death standing in front of him. In a last pitch attempt, he talks to death, "please let me live. I will do whatever you want, I'll give you all my money, my estates, what ever, but please let me live." Death smiles back slyly and says

I shall give you a breath
And the man suddenly grasps for breath and breathes in.

Death smiles and says
And you shall give it back
And the man breathes out, resurrection of life in him. He knows he just negotiated with death. He feels content.

That's when death again says...
I shall give you another
The man is ecstatic. He breathes in again. His heart is pumping again, his body building up warmth again and suddenly there is no more air.

He stop smiling and looks back at death in confusion. Death replies...
And now, you shall serve me back forever
