Someone once told me...

Case Scenario: There are so many times in our lives when we fight tooth and nail.. work day in and day out.. But the results are not coming.. You dont know whether to continue working or give up.. a limit has been reached.. frustration levels are high... you dont kno wat to do... For such times there was this friend who kept on saying - If Alls well tht ends well.. n if its not well.., it has not ended yet! Hence.. I dedicate this article to that case scenario and that friend...with the title SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME!!

Someone once told me - "Alls well that ends well. And if it is not well yet, it has not yet ended."

Is it a true saying? Lets start off with some basics...

First, to start off with let us define THE END. The human mind has always been fascinated with the END. He is so overwhemled by the END that he overlooks what he has - his present. People pray and dont lie to avoid going to hell. Small kids from tender ages slog their asses out for a better tomorrow. We save money today for tomorrow. Everything that we do, has a tomorrow attached to it. Yet still, we have never been able to define this end appropriately. It always remains a mystery for us.

Next, let us try DEFINING WELLNESS. It is very impossible to define a general well-being for everyone. WELLNESS is relative. It changes from person to person. WELLNESS abstractly may be defined as when you are at ease with something. If you are at ease with your job, then you are doing WELL at your job. If you are at ease with someone, then you are WELL with that person...

I have been thinking a lot about that saying above...

Alls well that ends well. And if it is not well yet, it has not yet ended.

This saying has been used by many as a word of motivation, as a word of hope... When things are going hay-wire, people use this saying to motivate others to not lose hope and keep on fighting.

Is it worth enough?

But instead, I see this saying for from another angle... It is infact nothing but the healing power of TiME written in another way. There is no motivational power in it to force you to go on fighting for a cause.

A better explaination of the saying - "I believe, the saying simply means... if something has gone wrong then, then with time you will forget it... and as you will forget it - you would become at ease with it. And since you would have forgotten it - it would have ended. Incase you have not forgotten it, the pain of the event will persist and so you will NOT be at ease with it... and again it would not have ENDED!!!"

There is another thing, I want to talk about.

I have always heard that giving up is something that only fools and failures do. A person whom I respect a lot and has shaped me told me once - "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE UP. May what may happen, may what may come in the way... you are not ALLOWED to give up. It's not your right to give up. You have a certain role to play in this world. Finish it!"

All these years, I have followed this mantra as the saying of God and have fought tooth and nail in every battle of my life.

But, today times have changed. I have risen to a higher level. A level, where I have realised that GIVING UP infact is wisdom in many cases.

90% of people fail because they do not realise that when they gave up.. they were SO close to their destination. Remaining 9% fail because they follow their goals and just dont giving up, even if their destination is just a mirage. Only the remaining 1% win - win, not only by fighting but also by giving up.

And again, I find it funny and laugh thinking may be the person who gave me the aboev mantra, actually might have wanted me to realise the wisdom - WHEN TO GIVE UP!!! By giving me this mantra, he made immune to the 90% failure category. And by making me fight so hard and so diligently so much for such a long time... he has made me realise the wisdom of giving up.

HOPE, WE CAN PUT THIS WISDOM TO PRACTICE.

And, make things well... by reaching the END of mirages.
