The Sun, the Moon and Man

I have been reading on the evolution of man and the evolution of the concept of God or better off for all you – believers: the discovery of the eternal truth – God. Even the eternal truth must be discovered. It cannot just come out from nowhere. As ape evolved into man... somewhere in the transformation the monkey who dint or better still doesn’t still know about God, got introduced to God.

Hence, somewhere I am still in dilemma whether to name this article as – From Ape to Man… but I would still like to persist with – From Moon to Sun… you will understand why soon.

The Neanderthal man walked the planet till the closing of the last Ice Age. They walked the vast stretches of frozen Europe. They were necessarily group hunters because no vegetation or minimal vegetation grew in the sub-zero environment. Large animals like the mammoth elephants… walked the planet then. One kill lasted for days and the sub-zero environment augmented the preservation. Man then prayed the Moon. Because, only with the aid of the Moonlight, could man hunt for these colossal animals. The Moon’s monthly growing and dying cycle was respected and the society then was female-dominated giving respect to the similar female monthly menstrual cycle. Land and home was no bar… men lived in groups and moved to areas with greater prey. The concept of family did not exist. The clan was important. Man lived in societies similar to those found in other animals like wolves. This was the era of the Moon God.

Around the end of the last Ice Age… a new race had developed in Africa called as the Homo-Sapiens. They migrated from Africa to Europe. The Ice Age was ending… and increasingly the temperatures were getting hotter. The mammoth beasts of the Ice Age couldn’t bear that heat and started dying out or adapting and becoming smaller… shedding excess flab. With the big prey gone, along with the environment that supported preservation of food for days… the Neanderthals found themselves in a changing environment. Food hunted could not support the entire clan now. The Homo-Sapiens on the other hand had started growing crops and vegetables. They were working in the day and not in the night.

The era of the Sun God had started…

The new man started hunting and also starting growing food. Now life became more nuclear. The concept of clan was too difficult to manage. Family became the basic unit. Before, one night’s hunt lasted for days. Now man had to work very hard... every day from dawn to dusk. Life became very hard. Food was becoming harder and harder to come. Man was working in the fields day in and day out. The society changed from a female-dominated society to a man-dominated society. Now, as food was growing on land… land became a prized possession. This led to the fights and later war between men for land.

After this transformation, I personally cannot think of any religion that doesn’t pray to the Sun. The Egyptians, Incas, Hindus,… name it and they pray to the Sun God.

It’s necessity is so highlighted in our daily life because of obvious reasons like heat, light, energy to plants and crops for growth… So much so was the importance of the Sun highlighted that night and darkness was started being considered as a sign of evil… The sign of enlightenment is the Sun. Look at any Gods picture – Jesus, Krishna, Buddha… there will always be a bright disc behind their heads signifying enlightenment.

This was and is the era of the Sun… an era of hard work… an era of male domination… an era of importance of land…

Now times again are changing slowly steadily…

We humans are moving back to the era of the Moon. Night-life has increased. Money is coming quicker than before due to the knowledge and new economy industries and services. Men are rising and falling faster than before. Wars over land will become less with coming times as the era of globalization and global village step in.

The Moon God is resurfacing….

With the above, I out forward the special characteristics and related human effect of the Sun and the Moon Gods.

The Moon ERa...
MOON God

THIS IS WHERE THE NEW ECONOMY INDUSTRY LIE.. THE BPOS, THE CALL CENTERS, THE I T INDUSTRY... THE SERVICE SECTOR

The Sun Era...
SUN God

THIS GENERALLY CORELATES TO THE OLD ECONOMY INDUSTRIES... NAMELY IRON N STEEL, CONSTRUCTION, AGRICULTURE... ETC.

I will conclude this article by saying…. Moon or Sun – Man must realize which industry he is working and accordingly accept the truths of the Moon and the Sun.

Moon based industries like art, painting, music, IT, BPOs, fashion industry, modeling, sportsmen,… must accepts the harsh and pleasing realities of the Moon. If they are up today, they will fall tomorrow and if they are down today, they will rise tomorrow. They will never be consistent. They can grow to their peaks very fast but fall equally quick. Most new-economy industries fall here. Most creative people land here. And creativity is never permanent. It comes and goes.

Sun based industries like heavy industries, agriculture, mining, accountancy… must accept the harsh and pleasing realities of the Sun God. They must work day and day out… everyday and that their growth will be slow and steady. The chances of them falling down quickly are very less. Most old-economy industries fall here.

Realize your classification and RISE in the opportunites u have...
