And why should I only not smoke?

The word vice is the opposite of the word - virtue. Since childhood each one of us has been told that one should avoid vices life long - that u must not smoke, gambling, drink, homosexuality or dope! It is not good. Ne type of vice is not good. Vice finally lead to the destruction of man.

Vices have been classified into a series of genres across various religions, cults and ages. The vices of the middle ages are probably not applicable today. So.. vices keep changing colour and form across time.

And what ever are the most prominent vices of their times are that ones that are enforced upon by the society as being bad but again it is the same society that leaves doors open for the same next generation to take upon them. Such is the misgivings of the society - the system.

In all of these classifications that i have run through... i have narrowed down one thing tht is missing in all of them. Most cultures n religions and vice experts n god knows who all.... hv missed out on 1 vice - the emotional vice.

The emotional vice better called as EXPECTATION!!

The single most reason why everyone is unhappy is this one word - this one virtue - this one vice - this EXPECTATION!

I have read so many jokes and incidents from people who are married of how things that we good before, became shitty after marriage. The difference wasn't in the people. The persons dint change... the situations dint change.. The level of expectations did!!

Before nothing was expected... and even if 1 thing was done; it generated a happiness of 10 things. And as u got married the expectation levels increased... the amount of things u took for granted increased. so even if 10 things were done it generated a happiness of 1 thing.

It is here that the difference lies.

Aaah..! Demons! i have made this sound like some kind of a matrimonial help desk!

That seemed like the easiest example to take and so...

Neways This applies everywhere... with friends, enemies , god, nature, colleagues, parents, children.... n all possible relations that u can think off!


I gave everything i had to it.... I have nothing more


To a friend to whom you gave all that u had...
To a relationship to which you gave all that u had..
To a child to whom you gave all that u had...

And wen your time came to TAKE, what do u get in return - "Did I ask you to give to me? No!!! I accepted what u gave... Now Accept that I don't wanna give anything!"

And a million stones crush your heart as these words pound your heart.. with the intensity of a volcano!

This is END RESULT after riding through the vicious cycle of EXPECTATION!!

I seem to have forgotten to explain the vicious cycle of expectation!!... .. Sounds more like those vicious cycles we studied in school.. hehe... but this ones more serious i guarantee..

One of the biggest disasters that mankind has ever endured over the years is mathematics... Making a long story short...

You do 10 for a person and expect 15
The person does 5 for you and you start expecting 30..
and so on and so on..!!

And as the going gets tough the person cannot live up to ur expectations... and its then that the above lines come to life - "I never asked you to do so much for me...."

Hence I conclude...

MANKIND if suffering emotionally because of EXPECTATION!

So i ask... WHY SHOULD I ONLY NOT SMOKE?
Family, friends, society, elders... all of you... who don't want me to take up any vices... teach n preach me also NOT to expect! Because... Its one vice that can kill a man many more times than what a cigarettes can kill.........
